First Devlog
Right.
I've been told repeatedly, by people who know what they are talking about, that we should share more publically and more often. So that's what I want to try and do.
We've been getting support from the Wild Galway Games Initiative, a brand new attempt to stimulate amateur and local game development in galway. This was its first year and they were good to us. Lots of opportunities to meet local professionals and show them our work. The 2022 program ended on the 29th with a showcase and we were invited to present our work to a bunch of people from around the country. So we packaged up our testing build and put on a talk. It was great, we got lots of good feedback. It was a nice mix of ideas for development and encouragement and honest understanding that what we have isn't a final product and isn't really meant to be.
Which was fantastic for me anyway. I had a ball. And I took a lot from it. And first and foremost was, share more often and more freely. Because even if no one reads this or looks at it, the exercise is worth it in and of itself.
So I'm putting up a webgl version of the build we had, so other people can look at it and give their own feedback if they want, and if they don't, well, it's going to make it easier to show off to my mom.
